Tessa is a visual thinker, who starts her projects by mind mapping out her thoughts. As a hands-on explorer, she develops her own libraries to work with. It can be a library of color samples, material research, or paper models. Tessa works on a small scale to translate her thoughts into matter. She mainly lays her focus on product and graphic design in which color plays an important role.
In January 2018, she graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE) in the man and activity department. During her studies, she used graphic design as a tool to visualize and develop her design concepts. To learn more about this discipline, Tessa studied the master communication design at Escola Superior de Artes e Design (ESAD) in Portugal. In May 2021, she successfully defended her thesis in which she aimed to identify the power of symbols in visual propaganda through analyzing political logos and flags.
