One minute in Porto (2019)

Info +
When we walk in the same streets over and over again, we get used to the things around us and we stop paying attention to the ordinary things. Sometimes it’s good to take a step back and observe things like you did the first time. This map is a visualization of sound from five distinct places in Porto. Each location presents one minute of sound through the separation of sound layers. The blocks in the sound layers show how many times a specific noise appears during the chosen timeframe.
